You will enjoy an immersion of different styles of yoga, meditation and yoga nidra along with an introduction to the ancient science of Ayurveda “the science of life” to promote healing and optimal health for the body and mind. This year we are delighted to introduce 2 Ayurveda Cooking Workshops with RATNA DEY-CORDUKES an Ayurvedic Practitioner that uses simple and realistic methods to introduce Ayurvedic concepts so one can truly “experience” the health benefits Ayurveda has to offer. Her main interest is in Mental and Emotional health issues and works with a
special programme – “Clear, Cleanse, Create” to get fantastic results. According to Ayurveda, everything in the environment is the same as what is within us therefore what we consume becomes a part of us. The emphasis on food here is on its taste and qualities. The concept of "what you eat becomes you" goes one step further with Ayurveda as it looks on to "what we digest" to create who we are. Food is therefore an important part of living and therefore it is important to get it right for the body, mind and emotions.

Elaine Harris will lead the yoga and meditation workshops. You will enjoy daily active hatha yoga flow classes linking dynamic movement to the breath, exploring yoga asana (poses) and breath work to improve breathing, create balance in the body and stillness in the mind incorporating deep relaxation and meditation techniques. After time walking and exploring Glendalough you will also get the chance to enjoy a restorative yoga class on the Saturday early evening with a focus on deeply restoring the nervous system, grounding the energy and bringing a sense of deep peace, calm and balance to body, mind and soul and connecting deeply to your true self.

Ratna will also bring her amazing “Stillness” session to the retreat which offers the chance to enjoy a full immersion in a Yoga Nidra (Yogic Sleep / Deep relaxation) to help bliss you out and aid sleep. She will also be available throughout the weekend for 1:1 Ayurvedic consultations on request.

We are also so grateful to have the fabulous holistic therapists Roisin Healy and Maeve McCarthy with us for the whole weekend offering an amazing menu of treatments to relax, restore and revitalise you.
